Warrenton Police report May 13 to June 2

The Warrenton Police Department released the following report for May 13 to June 2.

Tuesday, May 14

N State Highway 47, store employee was assaulted by a white male.  The subject wanted free food and when they were told the food was not free, the individual became angry.  The store employee was then assaulted and the subject left the scene.  The subject was located, identified and taken to the Warren County Jail.

Wednesday, May 15

N State Highway 47, two vehicle accident.  Vehicle one was making a right onto Highway 47 into the far left lane when it collided with vehicle two.

Friday, May 17

Highway 47/E Walton Street, two vehicle accident.  Vehicle one was stopped on Highway 47 due to school traffic when it was struck in the rear by vehicle two.  No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene.

Saturday, May 18

N State Highway 47, law enforcement was notified of a suspicious circumstance located on Highway 47.  A white male was seen tampering with an electrical pole.  The male was identified and through investigation, drug paraphernalia was discovered.  The subject was taken to the Warren County Jail.

Monday, May 20

N State Highway 47,  law enforcement was contacted about a male walking in the road.  Upon arrival, the male subject began to run from law enforcement.  The male subject was apprehended and identified.  After identifying the male, it was found that he had active warrants.  The male was arrested and taken to the county jail.

Friday, May 24

Westbound Interstate 70, a single vehicle accident.  Vehicle one was traveling westbound on Interstate 70 when it began to hydroplane.  The vehicle went into the median and struck the divider cables.  Severe damage was reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene by Prime Towing.

Saturday, May 25

E Veterans Memorial Parkway, vehicle was stopped due to no plates being displayed.  A male subject was identified and paraphernalia was found during a search of the vehicle.
